History
Our Journey
My father Mohammed Khatib ventured into the Exotic Vegetable business after getting to know chef Thomas Braganza and Rego of the Taj Group. After working on a smaller scale, chef Thomas encouraged him to pursue the exotic vegetable business. Gradually he got familiarized with exotic vegetables required by the chef & then he ventured into the full-grown exotic vegetable business. As we expanded in Goa, people started naming our shop near the Simonia Bakery as Mohammed English Vegetables. Earlier it was not known as Leopisc Exotic Vegetables.
The exotic vegetable business was then taken to new heights by Irfan Khatib, the youngest son of Mohammed Khatib. Last two years the location of the business shifted to the Mapusa market sub yard to stall no 36 where Irfan Khatib runs a full-fledged exotic vegetable business under the names Mohammed exotica and Zefan exotica.
